You've finally made it. You're officially a freshman at Rutgers New Brunswick. Your dorm is all set up, parents finally left you on your own and now, it's time to do what college students do best...rage. Only one problem, you don't know anyone in your building or anything going on tonight in general. You can either [[get to know your roommate|Dorm]], Jeff, who doesn't seem too "cool" and doesn't seem to want to rage at all or you can [[pay the lounge a visit|Lounge]] to meet some of your floor mates who seem more like your type of crowd...Your roommate, Jeff, is kind of a "nerd" to say the least. He loves World of Warcraft, plays french horn in the band here, and has't ever kissed a girl before. However, as lame as Jeff may seem, he mentions that some of his older friends from high school live on College Ave, the Mecca of parties at Rutgers. This peaks your interest, so you ask Jeff if he knows of anything happening tonight. He mentions that he had planned to go to friends house, but to play Super Smash Bros. You're starting to think that you and Jeff are like night and day, so you ponder whether you should [[go to the lounge|Lounge]] to try and find some more appealing friends, or [[stick with Jeff|Parking Lot]] and see where things go...You enter your floors lounge to find 2 dudes playing pool with each other. They all seem more "manly" and "party-ready" compared to your roommate, which is a blessing in your eyes. After introducing yourself, you learn their names (Hank and Henry), what room they're living in and that they too are looking to rage. You explain how much of a blessing it is to hear those words, seeing as your roommate is the anti-party type and kind of a loser. Unfortunately, just like you, neither of your new friends have any plans or ideas of what to do either, until another dude comes in and asks if you guys are looking for a good time. The kid's name is Jorge and he claims he can get you into his older brother's frat party is you help him out by driving him to the liquor store to buy some bottles. You're excited to know of plans, but still feel weary about Jorge and his "too-good-to-be-true" proposal. So, do you [[take Jorge to the liquor store|Car]] or do you [[deny his offer|Hank's Room]] and try to find something else to do?Once you and Jeff get to know each other a little better, you start to believe your initial thoughts about Jeff were inaccurate. Jeff talks about the his high school experience, mentioning he actually has raged before. However, he is still wrapped around the idea of going to his friend's house to play Super Smash Bros which again is not something you necessarily want to do your first night at college. As you're walking to your car in the parking lot, you have one last chance you [[turn back|Lounge]] and try to find something more "fun" to do or else you'll be heading to [[Jeff's friends house|Jeff's friends house]] to try and enjoy playing a video all night...Even though something doesn't seem right about Jorge, you decide to bite the bullet for the sake of potentially getting into a frat party. You drive over to a liquor store on College Ave so Jorge can buy some bottles for tonight's festivities. After purchasing the alcohol for the evening, Jorge tells you to drive to a house around the corner. You're thinking this is the house the party is going to be at, however, upon arriving at the destination, Jorge runs in the house and returns 5 minutes later empty handed. When you ask him what he just did, Jorge tells you not to worry about it and to head over to the frat house. At this point, you really feel uneasy about Jorge's actions, so you must decide if you will [[take him to the frat house|Frat House]] or tell him to scratch and [[return to Busch|Metler]] where Hank and Henry have ended up after you left... Although Jorge's offer was tempting, your gut felt something just wasn't right. You, Hank and Henry head to Hank's room to brainstorm on what to do next. After an hour or so contemplating what to do, there's a knock at the door. Henry opens it to find a a pretty cute girl standing there. Her name is Lola and she is looking for to meet her fellow floor mates just as you did before. The 4 of you get to know one another over small talk, to which Lola then mentions she's looking to rage tonight too. She also mentions that she knows of a party happening on College Ave, but tells you, Hank and Henry that you all need "ratio" to get in, meaning at least 3-4 girls per guy. Again, you only know 6 people here at Rutgers, 5 of which are guys, but Lola has 2 other friends that can help out with the ratio you need. Seeing as you need a few more ladies to accompany you, you, Hank and Henry can either [[head to the building next to yours|Metler]] where Lola mentions many girls live this semester or [[scout your own dorm|5th Floor]] to try and find some girls to take to the party...You get to Metler to find Hank and Henry chatting it up with 3 girls in the downstairs lounge. Naturally, you try to sway your way into the conversation and get to know these girls in hopes that they will help you get into some kind of party. The ladies tell you of a party they know of, which to your surprise is at the same address as the one Lola had mentioned before! Seeing that this is the perfect opportunity to get into a party tonight, you ask the girls if they would mind if you came with them and be "1" in the "3:1" girl to guy ratio in order to get in. They say yes and now you officially have a party to go to! Now you need to get to College Ave, so you plan to [[catch the A Bus|A Bus]] that is coming to the Metler stop in an hour...time to start pre-gaming...You and your new gang of friends head upstairs to look for girls to help with your ratio problem. Since Lola lives on this floor, she notices 6 girls she met earlier in the day hanging out on the couches, which is just the number of females you need to get into the party. Luckily for you, the girls like Lola a lot and agree to come with you to the party. They also mention they have some bottles in their room, so the 12 of you head into one of the girls rooms, pre-game a little bit, and get ready to [[catch an A Bus|A Bus]] to College Ave...You finally get to the frat house that Jorge promised he'd get you into. You meet a few of the brothers and seem to really get along with most of them. Once you break the ice, Jorge tells you to come upstairs to see what he got from the house you drove to after the liquor store. Cautiously, you follow him into a room to which you find you're roommate and 3 other frat brother playing Super Smash Brothers! Happy to see a familiar face you say what's up to Jeff, but he seems kind of pissed off. He mentions how he overheard what you said about him "being a loser" before in the lounge and was hurt by your words. His friends, who just a few minutes ago were loving you, don't seem to hospitable anymore. They tell you if you think Jeff's a loser, than you also allude to them being losers as well. As a result, they [[kick you out|Back to Davidson]], to which you leave and return to your dorm room. You get to the bus stop to find getting on a bus to College Ave is like trying to get on the last chopper out of Vietnam. Hundreds of kids just like you are trying to get to College Ave and are bull-rushing every bus that pulls up to the stop. After waiting for 15 minutes, you spot an A bus coming around the bend and prepare for battle. As the bus pulls up and the doors swing open, you and your squad of 12 are struggling to stick together and end up having to decide whether to try and "save" those being left behind or stay true to your mission of raging tonight. You and Hank along with Lola and half of the girls you've met make it on, but Henry and the others are left behind. You feel bad about stranding them, but you ignore you're feelings and get ready for the [[night that's to come|Party House]].Congratulations, you're first night of college is being spent alone in your dorm. As you lay on your bed, you contemplate what you could have done differently to possibly change the outcome of tonight's evening, Jeff comes stumbling back into your, looking as if he had the greatest night of his life. He tells you that even though he overheard your comments about him before, he forgives you and really wants to become close friends. He also was able to seek a bottle out of the party, to which you both pour a cup and begin learning more about each other. After hours of laughing and telling stories, you realize that your assumptions made you look like a jerk and promise to never "judge a book" by its cover again. You arrive at Jeff's friend Louis' house, which is located in the center of the party atmosphere on College Ave. You walk into Louis' room where you meet Pete and Cody, two of Louis' friends who live in the house as well. The 5 of you take turns playing the game, to which another kid walks in the room and introduces himself as Jorge. Jorge, who is also from your building, has a controller in hand ready to brawl (in Smash Bros) and mentions any friend of Jeff is a friend of his too. As your playing, the guys mention they are hosting a party later and ask if you want to stay and enjoy your first college party at their house. You also learn their house is also their fraternity's house, so you know this party is going to be a banger. You all [[crack open a cold one|Basement]] that Jorge bought and start to begin the night you originally set out to enjoy. It's 11:30 PM and you have been raging for hours. You've found your way to the basement of the house, where you meet two other kids who also happen to live in your building named Hank and Henry. They happen to be with a group a girls, some of which live one floor above you and you all begin to talk and form a little clique. Having been partying for hours, you all head back to you and Jeff's room where you and all your new friends enjoy each others company for the rest of the evening. Once everyone leaves, you and Jeff stay up for a little longer and get to know each other even more. You tell Jeff how you originally saw him as a "nerd" to which Jeff replies "Most people would too, but remember, never judge by a cover guy"...After being crammed into a packed A bus, your journey is almost at its end. You, Hank, Lola, and your other female friends start heading to the house that the party is being held at. After walking a few blocks to the house, you arrive to see a house with multi-colored lights and loud music coming from inside, hinting that this party is going to be sick. You all walk to the front door, where, to all of your surprise, you find Henry and the girls you left back on Busch getting in before you. You are all happy, but Henry is upset you left him alone at the bus stop. The door man, overhearing the conversation between you and Henry, interjects by saying that doing so was not cool and even with sufficient ratio, you can't come into the party, but Lola and her friends can without you. Lola and her friends say "see ya" and leave you and Hank half-sober and with no plans/friends but each other. As you head back to the bus stop, Hank gets a call from another friend of his who informs him that he can get Hank into a party but only Hank. Hank too says "see ya" leaving you all alone. You [[take the bus back|Back to Davidson]] to enjoy a lonely night in your dorm room.
